Toronto Real Estate Sales Are More Difficult In The Winter

Toronto's Harbour Is Completely Frozen Over This Year

For the Toronto Real Estate Board, sales are typically the lowest of the year in December and January. Then, depending on whether it’s a mild winter or if spring comes early, sales start to pick up in either February or March.

This winter has been harsh… lots of snow and lots of cold weather. I was out showing a home for Sally last night and it was a good thing my truck has 4-wheel drive :) . I was able to just drive over the snow drifts.

It’s not that easy though for many homeowners who park on the street or for agents who are out evenings or weekends showing homes to their buyers. Everyone has to get along, give way for cars coming the other direction and pull side mirrors in when parking temporarily on the wrong side of the street.
