Helping Toronto Home Owners Put Their Best Space Forward

Toronto Real Estate – Homes That Have Been Fluffed

I truly believe home staging has come of age in the last several months – especially between September of 2008 to March 2009 when the world’s economic markets were imploding.

Toronto home sellers were faced with a difficult market and every effort was needed to differentiate their house or condo from all the others being listed at the same time.

Enter the professional home stager. Although Sally and I have both taken our home staging courses, and Sally has a terrific design sense, staging is not our profession.

Along with typically advising on what de-cluttering and de-personalizing needs to be done, we do have an inventory of ‘fluffing’ items in storage such as pictures, vases, dried flower arrangements, lamps and so on that we provide to our clients at no cost… perfect for snazzing up a home that really doesn’t need the full treatment.

But when it comes to a full-on make-over, the pros need to step in. We’ve has some excellent experiences with referring Doug Cook and his partner Kiki Phukan from The Home Stagers Corporation (www.HomeStagersCorp.com) to several of our clients.

In each case the homes were sold very quickly and for a higher price than we expected, easily giving the home owner a solid return on their home staging investment.

Listen below to a Podcast interview with Doug and take a look at the before and after photos of various rooms that Doug and Kiki have staged.
